Suze is a sculptural pendant designed through Frandsen Private Label for Goossens. Created from wrapped cords, it shifts in appearance depending on the angle — from side view to bottom or top. Suze invites the eye to explore its rhythmic geometry, where shadow and structure intertwine.

The design in detail
Suze is a pendant that plays with transparency, repetition, and rhythm. Originally developed through Frandsen Private Label for Goossens, it blends organic form with graphic string structures. Though no longer in production, Suze remains a strong expression of form-driven lighting.
The pendant is constructed from tightly wrapped cords around a sculptural metal frame. The specific cord material was defined in production, but the intention was always tactile: to allow the light to gently escape through the woven gaps. From the side, the lamp reads as a full, geometric volume — from the top or bottom, a new pattern emerges.
The form draws inspiration from nature and biomimicry — evoking the layered structure of a seedpod or the silhouette of a flower in bloom. Suze was designed to be decorative, but not loud — sculptural, yet warm.
